The brownstone keeps being eaten away by the weather. We cannot let our history fade, so

Therefore we are asking for your help...

A future location of the Statewide Veterans Memorial

A very exciting effort led by Governor M. Jodi Rell
is underway to create a statewide veterans memorial to honor all Connecticut veterans who have served our state and nation in times of peace and
conflict. Despite all the tremendous services and benefits Connecticut provides our veterans, we are missing a dignified, central place for citizens to honor our veterans. The memorial will be located on land adjacent to the Col. Raymond Gates Memorial Cemetery across the street from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs in Rocky Hill. A design has not yet been selected. If you wish to contribute, please send donations to:

Rockville Bank, c/o Connecticut State Veterans Memorial, Inc. P.O. Box 660 Rockville, CT 06066

Please know that any amount you can give at this time would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in making the construction of a state veterans memorial a reality. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to call Adam Jeamel in Governor Rell’s office at  860.874.9063
090519
