Subject: Slice of Bristol mailing

Hello.Just thought I would share with you both(so you could get it up on websites) that the Slice of Bristol boxes were packed Fri.(3/13) evening and mailed out Sat.(3/14) morning. With the help of committee members Jerry Chamberland,Dee Savino(who graciously offered her home for the packing),Diane Carello,Neal Supranovich,Al"Chops" Cianchetti,Patti Mielniczuk,Bob Montgomery and City Councilor Craig Minor everything went very smooth. We made an evening of it,ordering pizza and woofing down Dees' world famous cheese cake for desert(apparently Mr.Montgomery REALLY liked it!).We packed and chatted until 10PM.We loaded the boxes in Pattis' (she proved to be our resident expert on the postal system) vehicle and took them all to the Post Office Sat. AM and got them mailed out.Now we just wait to hear from the recipients, hopefully.
Each box contained the following items:2 DVDs from Neal(patriotic material),1 DVD from Ken Ferris(Bristol Choral Society concert,OM show),Laminated Chamber/Slice of Bristol card(entitles recipients to a hosts of benefits from Chamber members/ from Mike Nicastro),book on Bristol Firefighters(from Historical Society),one ESPN hat,one Shamrock Road Race shirt(compliments of Pat Collins),Bristol Press clippings(Bob Montgomery),one Bristol Observer(Elio Gugliotti),Lake Compounce tickets(Gerry Brick),pads, chapstick and pens from Bristol Hospital and letters explaining laminated card, providing a point of contact should they want to email Slice committee, candy, gum and on top a letter of greeting and sincere thanks for their service from Mayor Art Ward.  090315
